Wow! an Unmerited Gift
December 29, 2011This is a quickie pre-New Year check-in. Got plans? I think we’re staying in but have invited Mom, sister Linda and hubbie Mike for dinner on New Years Day.
The Unmerited Gift? Lynda’s eldest son and his wife got us a laptop for Xmas and this is the first post that I’m doing on it. Cool, huh?
Having a couple of problems….. there’s a nut loose at the controls here. Later!

Top of the year to you
New Year’s Eve is looming and I’m trying not to feel a touch of dread about that. I find it to be such a difficult night when I let myself get all caught up in knots about the expectations of it. I’m thinking about just staying home and letting it slide by, actually

I wouldn’t get too wound up about NYE if I were you…. just another day and a pretty unremarkable on at that. We’re staying in and I don’t know that we’ll bother to stay up til midnight. I just can’t get that excited about it all.

We’re staying in cos I’m sick.
We usually go to a First Night celebration (one of those non-alcohol, family events with lots of great music). Ah well. There’s always next year.
Happy New Year Robin!! Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. There’s lots of colds and 24 hour flus going round. Fingers crossed – I haven’t had any of them as yet and hope not to. All the best to you and yours in the coming year.
